Information about participation of the International Club “Archimedes”
in the exhibition IRIS-2006, 7-9 December 2006, Delhi, India
In the period from 7th to 9th December 2006 in the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi was held the national exhibition IRID-2006 (Initiative for Research and Innovations in Science). The exhibition was organized by the Department of Science and Technology of the Indian government, by INTEL corporation and by Confederation of Indian Industry. In the exhibition took part over 300 young inventors from different parts of India. Representatives of two age groups, namely, from 6 to 20 years and from 20 to 35 years, demonstrated their scientific innovations and research projects. For the first time in the history of this exhibition a group of young inventors from Moscow and Tula took part in it and demonstrated the following projects:
- “Peculiarities of technologies in art punching” – Nazarov Konstantin, Tula State University, 1st year, 17 years of age (scientific tutor Evdokimov A.K.);
- “Differential punching: problems and solutions” – Khoziashev Mikhail, Tula, Liceum # 1, 11th form, 16 years of age (scientific tutor Evdokimov A.K.);
- “Revealing of creative individuality through a picture” – Kozhuhovskaya Anastasia, Moscow, school # 1239, 10th form, 15 years of age (scientific tutor Leparskaya I.O.);
- “A way of training in graphic activities” – Surinian Nika, school # 1239, 10th form, 15 years of age (scientific tutor Leparskaya I.O.);
- “Autonomous system of fire extinguishing” – Segeev Konstantin, school # 270, 7th form, 12 years of age (scientific tutor Starostin M.M.);
- “System of rescue on water surfaces” – Zezyulina Anna, Moscow, school-liceum # 1404, 5th form, 11 years age (scientific tutor Starostin M.M.);
In the course of the exhibition there has been working a qualified jury composed of leading Indian specialists in the innovation sphere and of INTEL corporation. Works of Russian participants enjoyed great success among visitors and participants and were granted well-deserved awards. By the decision of the International Jury Russian participants have been awarded with gold medals for the “Outstanding overall project”, Best of Subject Category Award, presented at the exhibition. It’s a great breakthrough of Russian inventors on the international arena.
Taking into account that the President of the Russian Federation in his message emphasized the important role of national economy transfer on innovation way of development, such victory is a real confirmation of the correctness of the chosen path.
Simultaneously with the exhibition there have been held business negotiations of D.I. Zezyulin, Chairman of the International Innovation Club “Archimedes” with Mr. Anuj Sinh, head of the Department of Science and Technology, with Mr. Anja Das, head of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Ms. Seema Gupta, deputy director of the Confederation of Indian Industry concerning further development of partner relations in innovation sphere.
As one of the consequent steps there has been envisaged participation of Indian inventors in the 10th Moscow International Salon of Industrial Property “Archimedes” and presentation there of the Indian delegation.
Member of the Russian delegation, I.S. Mukhamedshin, professor of the State Institute of Intellectual Property, conducted negotiation with leaders of the Indian Institute of Technology about establishing partner relations between institutes and about exchange of students and fellows of educational institutions.
The Russian delegation visited the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Delhi. Center assistants S. Cherkass and E. Pokrovskaya have demonstrated the permanently acting exhibition of works and photographs of Rerih family. I. Leparskaya, director of studio “Eskiz” in the Moscow school # 1239 and E. Pokrovskaya, head of the studio of fine arts in the Russian Culture Center in Delhi have conducted a joint master class at the Russian stand of the exhibition and exchanged experience in teaching painting.
The Russian delegation expresses special gratitude to Mr. Nitin Soti and Ms. Seema Gupta for granted assistance and cooperation. We thank Prime Travels company and its representatives for interesting tours over Delhi and excursions to Agra to Taj Mahal mausoleum.
Thanks to interesting business and cultural program, our friendly visit to India has been held on very high level and resulted in maximum profit for the Russian delegation. India is a great, beautiful, dynamically developing country. And the very fact that among the best young innovators selected in Indian institutes, colleges and schools our boys and girls have won high awards, proves bright outlooks for creation of innovation economy in Russia.
The principal thing is that the role of the state in assistance of young and talented scientists and inventors be not in words but in actual business.
